Art Journal Page Tutorial with Tim Holtz Distress Glazes

This week I have an art journal page tutorial with Tim Holtz Distress Glazes to share with you. I was thinking about worthiness and how we can often struggle with feeling good enough. It is easy for us to look to others for assurance that we are worthy and that we have value. Instead, realizing that we are valuable, not by what we do but by who we already are.

Inspired by Daring Greatly

This page was inspired by Daring Greatly by Brene Brown. This book was part of my reading list for 2020 and I shared my lessons from Daring Greatly earlier this year. Daring Greatly is a very powerful book and one of the things that continues to resonate with me is the idea that I am worthy, and that I am enough.

It is easy to look to the outward trappings of success: clothes, cars, houses, etc. But these things do not bring a true sense of worthiness. We need to understand where our worthiness comes from and cultivate in our lives. For me, my worthiness comes from God, how He sees me and loves me just as I am.

The Art Journal Page Tutorial

This art journal page tutorial showcases Tim Holtz Distress Glazes, a new product for 2020 that I have been really enjoying. I love these glazes because of their versatility as well as the colors and luminosity on the art journal page. This art journal page tutorial shows how to apply the Distress Glazes, add Tim Holtz Distress Stains and completes the project with adhering letters.  To see the full video tutorial please view it below.
