Goal Setting: Creativity as a Prompt

A few weeks have gone by since most of us were setting goals or New Year’s Resolutions for 2020. Has it been a struggle to stay on target with your goal? Or are you still feeling really motivated and passionate about your resolutions?

Personally, I’m finding some of my goals and habits easy to manage and others more difficult. I tend to procrastinate so it’s taking extra effort to ensure that I stay on track. So the question I have for you today is how do we keep moving forward to stick to our goals for this year?

A Creative Way of Keeping Goals Visible

An important part of trying to achieve my goals this year is making my goals visible and accessible. In my self-care process this week, I decided to create a tag that would help me remember my goals. My intention is to use it as a bookmark in the books that I have chosen as part of my book list for this year. Every little reminder is going to be helpful so that I can continue to work on these goals throughout the year.

The Tag

This tag uses a variety of techniques- acrylic marbling, stamping with ink, layering color with ink, rub-ons and altering embellishments with watercolor paints and ink. I hope that you find this video helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to see a further breakdown of any of the specific techniques. I hope that you have a great time creating this tag or bookmark and that it will be helpful reminder of your personal goals.
